Histoire résuméeThe third version of Szittya gliders was the R-10 Szittya-III. It was developed from Szittya-II with greater span, further lengthening the fuselage, positioning the horizontal stabilizer on a higher platform on top of the fuselage, reducing the gull-angle of the wing and applying a straight line tapering instead of a elliptical trailing edge. The canopy was redesigned to improve the pilot's view. The glider first flew in 1938. To perform simple aerobatic manoeuvres with the glider was permitted.
Only one glider had been built and after a very short life it was destroyed in a hangar fire in 1940.
