Infos techniques | The wing of this high-wing glider was strutted. It has a wooden structure covered with canvas. The wing was fitted with airbrakes. The landing gear consisted of a nose skid, a spring suspended wheel and a tail skid. It had a closed, tandem two-seat cabin with dual controls.
Histoire résumée | In 1953 the Central Committee of DOSO (Voluntary Organization for Support of Defense) announced a design competition for a two-seater training glider which would meet the demands of the ever growing flying clubs, where the existing "Jeravs" and "Pioneers" obviously were not able to do this. Aircraft engineers Luben Panov and Dimitar Panchovski in collaboration with the Musachevo workshop's designer Raska Radomirov won the competition with this glider. The construction of the prototype had been started in 1957 and was completed in early 1958. Tests justified that the design is good one. The glider named "Jastreb" was cleared to fly simple aerobatic figures. A series of 10 gliders were built to replace "Jeravs".
