Histoire résumée | Can anyone identify this ship? Someone thought it might be the original "Sapsucker", but I am not so sure. Seariously, we heard about this ship at the VSA Western Regatta and Harry Irvine followed up on the lead. It is a nacelled Primary with a welded "A" frame fuselage and tail similar to a Franklin or early Schweizer. The wings are wood with the ribs sawn or routed from plywood. The lift struts are the "N" type. The ship is located in Southern California and has probably been here its entire life. We haven't a clue what it is. If you can help identify this ship, please let us know at either the Archives or Editorial address. [from Bungee Cord] | ||||||
