Histoire résuméeIn 1924, a motorglider was born, the first aircraft to be called D-B (Dresdner Baumuster). In continuation of the numbering of the FVD aircraft was called D-B 4. The reason for this change in the name was the spin-off of the Akaflieg Dresden from the FVD as an independent association on 14 April 1924, whose most active members had already finished their studies in 1923. This led to the activities of the group initially subsided.
... In 1927, the D-B 4 was retrieved from the cellar again. This original monster of a motor glider with a much too weak 12-hp motorcycle engine, which had been installed behind the seat in the center of gravity and propelled the propeller over the fuselage over a distance wave, caused so many problems that the engine was removed again 4 as a glider with the name "Ebersbach". However, she lost in November 1928, when Wolfgang Pomnitz was mortally injured in a technically determined emergency landing.
